OUR CURRENT INTERN REVEALS WHAT THEY LOVE ABOUT WORKING AT NUMBER 1
Aspiring to work in the medical industry, I decided that working in medical administration would be an ideal way to begin. I had worked in hospitality, but my efforts to secure an administrative position required previous experience in administration. I was lucky enough to hear that Number 1 was starting an Intern Program and I put myself forward to gain work experience.
Taking a semester off from my Nursing studies, I have worked closely alongside nearly every department manager at Number 1 from the brand new Victorian office in Boronia, including areas such as supply chain, order processing, warehouse operations and office management.
Online meetings have seen me engage with staff in Sales, IT and Marketing and I have had the opportunity to travel to the South Nowra office to work alongside the NSW team. This has given me insight into career paths I had not even considered. The opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge in a multi-million-dollar company has significantly boosted my confidence and broadened my world view.
